Cosmetology Expo

The Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise Development is proud to announce the successful commencement of the inaugural Cosmetology Expo, a government-led initiative aimed at promoting skills, creativity, and business growth in the beauty industry.
Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Lillian Bwalya, graced the event and emphasized the government’s commitment to elevating the cosmetology sector as a viable source of income and employment for Zambian youth.
She noted that the expo provides a crucial platform for make-up artists, hairdressers, wellness professionals and nail technicians to showcase their products, services, and innovation.
“We all need to have a skill, and cosmetology is one of the fastest-growing sectors. This expo will not only boost businesses but also encourage innovation and confidence among young people,” said Ms. Bwalya.
The Ministry reaffirms its dedication to supporting MSMEs. Business owners are encouraged to formalise their businesses and further position themselves to access funding and other forms of support.
